So who am I and why

My name is Therese Skelly, and I’ve been right where you are. I actually started not just one but TWO businesses, and between the two, for years I couldn’t go on vacation with my kids without bringing my laptop! Instead of being at the beach I was banging away emails to make sure everything was working. I started out doing only one service and charging hourly. What did that mean? If I took any time off, I would lose all my income!

I went from being a psychotherapist-turned-life-coach into a business coach specializing in Marketing and Mindset. Today most of the work I do is with folks who are service providers. How do you talk about what you do? If people don’t understand who you serve, they can’t refer you.

2. Mindset Mastery – The next step is to align with inner game with the goals. What would you have to believe about yourself to make your business happen? Where are you stuck ‘playing small’ that you need to break free from? If you don’t have the proper mindset, you can have an MBA in business and still fail. You won’t be able to navigate the challenging waters of being an entrepreneur. The deep question is: How much will you allow yourself to earn?

3. Marketing Strategy – Is about discovering the best ways to get your message out into the world, to reach the most people possible. Today, I have expanded from just doing coaching with people, to offering marketing strategy, which allows them to earn far more revenue. How are you positioning yourself? Do you have a plan for how to get in front of your ideal clients? (And you get brownie points if it’s automated!)

4. Sales Skills – Today this is one of my most favorite things to teach…probably because I was so intimidated by it before! I learned how to get past mental blocks and understand the structure of sales, so that prospects would easily say YES to the offer. I’ve coached and trained tons of people on how to use “Selling = Service” and to learn how to take a stand for their client in the sales process. Once you learn this method, you can earn SO much more money — but more importantly…you can begin serving those clients who really need what you have to offer.

5. Leverage – This is a biggie! Today I am all about moving away from the “dollars for hours” model. I’ve learned how to leverage my time, talents, and energy. Are you throwing your time away, or do you have a plan for how to be the most effective at what you are the best at?

6. Product Development – There are many creative ways to package information, to allow the maximum number of people to ‘consume’ your knowledge.

7. Business Model/Strategy – Very often my clients will have one idea of how they do their business. And very often, I can show them that if we tweak the model, they can experience more freedom and more financial success. Most of us only know what we know — but we don’t have any idea of ALL the possibilities out there. You would be amazed at how many more ideas we can come up with for you!
